Dear Preschool Families,
Regardless of whether you are planning to drop your first child off for their first day of school or you are entrusting us with your youngest, welcome to 1st Lutheran School as we celebrate our 165th academic year. Whether you are new to our school or a returning family, whether you are here for one year or many, we thank you for choosing to become a lasting part of the 1st Lutheran family.
Our vision is for our students from our youngest preschool classes to our graduating 6th graders to be prepared to leave a positive impact in the community and world. By combining a family focused education, high educational standards, and our core principle of keeping “Christ at the center of all we do” we are confident that with the Holy Spirit’s guidance, our students do impact the world and God’s kingdom in significant ways.
We are here to be partners with you in your student’s social, emotional, and spiritual development. We are grateful that you have entrusted us with this task. I encourage you to have regular, meaningful conversations and to express your questions or concerns with your student’s teacher(s) throughout the year so that we can most effectively partner together. The first step in this partnership is that you please read through the materials provided by our early childhood staff including the handbook and other forms. We also hope to see you at the Preschool Orientation Open House on August 9 from 2:00-6:00.
Please bring the below items to the Preschool Orientation:
· Completed Emergency Contact Card
· Up-to-Date Immunization Record
· Completed Simply Giving Authorization Form
Thank you for your commitment to your child’s future and for choosing 1st Lutheran to be an essential part of that journey. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and personally welcome you as part of the family!
In Christ Alone,
Samuel Fishburn, Principal
